Journal History

The Tropical Wetland Journal (TWJ) has undergone several significant developments to enhance its quality and global reach:

• Editorial Team Update: The editorial team was restructured following the issuance of Decree No. 2.6/UN8.4/HM.01.01/2024 by the Director of the Postgraduate Program at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat.

• Manuscript Template Revision: Starting with Volume 11 No. 1 (2025), TWJ adopted a new manuscript template to ensure consistency and improve presentation standards. The updated template can be accessed here

• International Reviewers: From early 2025, TWJ expanded its reviewer pool to include international experts from Japan, Malaysia, and Timor Leste, strengthening the peer-review process.

• Article Processing Charge (APC): Effective from Volume 11 No. 1 (2025), an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied for accepted manuscripts to support publication costs, including DOI registration:

  • Authors from Indonesia: IDR 500,000

  • Collaborative authors (Indonesia and other countries): IDR 300,000

  • Authors from outside Indonesia: USD 0 (free of charge)

• Collaboration with PEPSILI: In 2025, TWJ formalized a partnership with PEPSILI through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), fostering academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.

These milestones reflect TWJ’s commitment to advancing scholarly publishing and promoting high-quality research in wetland studies.
